Investigator of the Ditreskrimum Renakta Sub-Directorate East Java Police revealed the motive for Domestic Violence (KDRT) that the actress allegedly experienced Venna Melinda from her husband, Ferry Irawan.
Kasubdit Renakta Ditreskrimum Polda Jatim AKBP Hendra Eko Triyulianto said the misunderstanding sparked bickering between the two.
“For motives, there was a misunderstanding between the family and the husband and wife. There was an argument,” said Hendra in Surabaya, Monday (9/1).
The argument then culminated in allegations of domestic violence at a hotel in Kediri City, East Java, last Sunday (8/1).
This was stated by the Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimum) of the East Java Regional Police, Kombes Totok Suharyanto.
“The report was domestic violence. The husband reported it. V is still under investigation. It happened on Sunday (8/1) morning. Locus at the Kediri City hotel,” he said.
He said that the report was originally made at the Kediri City Police. However, investigators handed it over to the East Java Regional Police, and it is being handled by the Renakta Sub-Directorate.
“The Kediri City Police have delegated it to the Regional Police. [Ditangani] Renakta Ditreskrimum Polda East Java. “We are currently in the process of conducting an initial inspection,” he said.
Confession is often threatened with domestic violence
In addition, Hendra said that from his report, Venna Melinda admitted that he had often received allegations of threats to violence Ferry Irawan. Venna’s statement, he said, was obtained during questioning at the East Java Police Headquarters, Surabaya.
“From the testimony of the victim [Venna]the reported [Ferry] often make threats of violence to victims,” said Hendra.
Ferry, he said, often threatened Venna with physical violence. But in the meantime, it is known that the violence itself has only been committed once once morest the reported party.
“[Ancaman kekerasan] physical. Often according to the victim. It only happened once yesterday,” he said.
In this incident, Venna was said to have suffered a bleeding wound on her nose. This was allegedly following getting violence in the form of head pressure from Ferry.
However, the police have yet to name Ferry as a suspect. He is still being questioned as a witness
“It’s still in progress, [Ferry] still a witness,” said Hendra.
