The Cartagena Police reported that both the fried food seller who was burned with hot oil, as well as her aggressor, were arrested and left at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office.

“The Police responds to a citizen request. Upon arrival at the scene, the quadrant patrol captures a woman pointed out by the victim for assaulting her and pushing her into a container containing hot oil,” the institution reported.

“The alleged aggressor and the victim were placed at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office for the crime of reciprocal personal injury and are waiting for a judge to decide their legal situation,” he added.

It was learned that the fried food vendor was referred to a health center following suffering first-degree burns. Likewise, the alleged aggressor suffered lacerations and blows to different parts of the body in the midst of the heated discussion in the business premises. The women were discharged the same day.

“I threw some sauces at her and she threw a jar of straws, then she pounced on me and that was when I pushed her and her hand fell on a container with oil, but she immediately took it out and we continued attacking each other on the floor. There were blows, it was a show that I regret,” the alleged aggressor reported to El Universal.
