A patrol from the St.Gallen city police became aware of a car with a conspicuous driving style during a road traffic check. When the police officers wanted to stop the car for a check and a city police officer signaled the driver to stop, the car touched the police officer at low speed. He suffered bruises on his legs, as the St.Gallen cantonal police wrote in a statement.
Was traveling without ID
The patrol then managed to stop the car and order the driver (38) out of the car. In addition, the cantonal police of St.Gallen was deployed. This classified the driver as unfit to drive.
Upon closer clarification, it was found that the 38-year-old’s driver’s license had already been taken away on Sunday morning, i.e. just a few hours before the incident, because he was unable to drive.
By order of the public prosecutor of the canton of St.Gallen, he had to give a blood and urine sample once more. The canton of St.Gallen reports to the public prosecutor’s office, among other things, regarding various violations of road traffic law, but also regarding violence and threats once morest officials.
