A 29-year-old young man dies two months following joining the company… The family “must be thoroughly investigated”

A joint investigation will be held on the 4th of this month, where one person died and 17 others were injured.

According to the Gyeonggi Nambu Police Agency on the 1st, the police are planning to conduct a joint investigation on the 4th at the fire site of Hwail Pharmaceutical, Hyangnam-eup, Hwaseong-si, with related organizations such as the Fire Department and the National Institute of Scientific Investigation.

A police official said, “Through forensics, we plan to reveal the exact circumstances of the accident, including the location of the initial ignition and the cause of the explosion and fire.”

Meanwhile, A (29), who died in this accident, was reported to have been working for the company as a career worker for two months in July.

A’s older brother said, “It hurts my heart even more when my younger brother, who worked diligently in various industries following graduating from high school, got a job like this. The truth must be revealed clearly.”

“The bereaved family will postpone the funeral of the younger brother until a proper investigation is made, and the investigation will be monitored,” he said.

The police will request an autopsy on Mr. A to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences on the 3rd to reveal the exact cause of death.

The Ministry of Employment and Labor also plans to form a central industrial accident management headquarters and review whether the Serious Accident Punishment Act and the Industrial Safety and Health Act can be applied to this accident.

At 2:22 pm on the 30th of last month, a large fire occurred at Hwail Pharmaceutical in Hyangnam-eup, Hwaseong-si, due to an explosion, killing one person and injuring 17 others.
