Police Issue DPO for Malas Gwijangge, KKB Member Suspected of Killing New Zealand Pilot

UNIT The Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force issued a wanted list (DPO) for Perintakola Lokbere alias Malas Lokbere alias Malas Gwijangge. The leader of the armed criminal group (KKB) Perek Jelas Kogoya is suspected of being the killer of New Zealand Pilot Glen Malcolm Conning.

“We have issued a DPO for the alleged perpetrator and we will then carry out investigation and law enforcement efforts,” said Head of the Damai Cartenz Public Relations Task Force, Senior Commissioner Bayu Suseno in a written statement, Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

Bayu said that the alleged perpetrator of the hostage-taking and murder of pilot Glen was charged with Article 338 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) to 1, subsidiary Article 365 Paragraph (3), subsidiary Article 170 of the Criminal Code Paragraph (2) to 3, subsidiary Article 170 of the Criminal Code Paragraph (2) to 3, subsidiary Article 351 Paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code.

“Namely crimes against people’s lives and participating in acts that can be punished and/or theft and/or crimes against public order and/or assault,” said Bayu.

According to him, the threat of punishment for Malas Gwijangge is a maximum of 12 years in prison according to Article 365 Paragraph (3). Then, Article 170 Paragraph (2) 3, the maximum sentence is 12 years in prison and Article 351 Paragraph (3) with a maximum sentence of 7 years in prison.

Bayu sent a letter of issuance of DPO Malas Gwijangge. The DPO letter was registered with the number: DPO/2/VIII/2024/Reskrim.

The letter also contains the name Malas Gwijangge along with a photo. Then, it contains the characteristics of Malas Gwijangge. Namely, he has a height of approximately 159 cm, black curly hair, black skin, black eyes, a high nose, thick lips.

“To be monitored, arrested, handed over, and his whereabouts reported to investigator Ipda Ramli,” reads the DPO letter.

Previously, Head of Cartenz Peace Operation Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani said that his party identified the suspected killer of Pilot Glen Malcolm Conning. The perpetrator was KKB Perek Jelas Kogoya which had five members, namely Perintakola Lokbere alias Malas Lokbere alias Malas Gwijangge and his friends.

In addition, during the sweep of the Alama District, an empty house was found which was used by KKB Perintakola Lokbere Alias ​​Malas Lokbere Alias ​​Malas Gwijangge to live for the past week.

“This was reinforced by the fact that pictures of weapons, pictures of the Papuan independence flag and other KKB documents were found on the walls of the house,” said Faizal.

The KKB Perek Jelas Kogoya is said to be headquartered in Yuguru, Nduga Regency. The five people who are members of the KKB Perek Jelas Kogoya are Perintakola Lokbere alias Malas Gwijangge, 20, who lives in Geselma village, Nduga Regency.

Then, Jeri Wandikbo, 50, whose address is in Geselma village, Nduga Regency; Irisim Gwijangge, 20, whose address is in Geselma village, Nduga District; Jaka Gwijangge, 15, whose address is in Geselma village, Nduga District; and Analuk Amisim, 36, whose address is in Geselma village, Nduga Regency.
