Several people have informed us of a police intervention at the Foire du Midi this Sunday at the end of the followingnoon, via the orange Alert us button.
It turns out that it was the Brussels Capital-Ixelles police zone that intervened. The area spokesperson confirms. “A patrol was arrested for a man who had fallen from the third floor of a building between the Gare du Midi and the Porte de Hal. He had injuries of unknown origin that might be related to a blunt object“, told us Christophe Servais. Note that the first information mentioned that the person who fell from the building was a woman, but it is indeed a man.
The police contact the emergency services and quickly set up a judicial perimeter to preserve the area. They then went upstairs from where the man had fallen. “There they find a lifeless woman“, explained the police spokesman. “Both people are in their forties. They were taken to the hospital“. Their exact state of health remains unknown.
The office of the victims went on the spot and the first duties of investigation were launched. The perimeter that blocked the fair in front of the building was reopened a little before 9 p.m. The few closed attractions were able to reopen.
