POLICE are currently carrying out a case to determine the suspect in the case of the death of Putu Satria Ananta Rustika (19), a cadet at the Jakarta Maritime Science College (STIP) who died allegedly because he was assaulted by his senior.
“Currently a case is underway,” said North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Gidion Arif Setyawan to reporters, Saturday (4/5).
Gidion said that the case was carried out to determine the suspect in the case.
“Yes, that’s right (to determine the suspect),” he said.
Gidion said that currently the case title process is still ongoing. He said that his party would convey the results when the case was completed.
“Later I will convey (the results of the case title),” he said.

It was previously known that a student at the Cilincing College of Sailing Science (STIP), North Jakarta, with the initials P (19) died in his school environment. The police immediately went to STIP to carry out an initial crime scene investigation to investigate the case.
North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Gidion Arif Setyawan said that his party received a report of this incident on Friday (3/5) morning. The victim is a STIP level 1 student.
“Initially, we at the North Jakarta Metro Police received a police report regarding the death of a person with the initials P. At the time of his death, he was at Tarumajaya Hospital. The person concerned was a level 1 student at STIP,” said Gidion, Friday (3/5).

The police are still carrying out examinations and investigating the cause of P’s death. It is suspected that the victim died as a result of being assaulted by his senior.
“We are still carrying out forensic laboratory examinations, post-mortems by doctors at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital to determine the cause of death,” he said.
“There is an allegation that this was the result of violence perpetrated by senior level 2 individuals during activities this morning carried out by their seniors against the victim,” continued Gidion.
P’s body is still at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital. Meanwhile, the family, who is known to come from Bali, already knows what happened to P. (Z-8)
