The Indonesian National Police formed a team to investigate the explosion at the house of Aceh gubernatorial candidate Bustami Hamzah. All elements were involved in the team. Including the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror Police.

Trunoyudo said there was also a supporting team in the investigation of this explosion. Such as from the Police Mobile Brigade and the Police Criminal Investigation Unit. “Then later we will also see the analysis as obtained in the field. That information was conveyed by the Aceh Police,” said the former Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police.
For information, Bustami Hamzah’s residence was the target of a grenade attack by an unknown person this morning at around 05.15 WIB. The grenade explosion caused part of the walls of Bustami’s house to turn black.
The police immediately went to the scene and put up police lines at Bustami’s house located in Gampong Pineung, Syiah Kuala District, Banda Aceh City, Aceh. Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Banda Aceh Police, Commissioner Fadillah Aditya Pratama confirmed that there were no fatalities in the incident.
Meanwhile, the motive behind the attack is still being investigated. Police have not been able to confirm whether the attack was related to Bustami’s political activities as one of the Aceh gubernatorial candidate pairs. “Still under investigation, we cannot provide more detailed information,” he told Metrotvnews.com.
In addition, the bomb disposal team (jibom) from Brimob Polda Aceh has been deployed to the scene. Jibom was deployed to conduct a crime scene investigation (TKP) and collect evidence. (J-2)
