According to Sudinfo, a 40-year-old man from Liège was shot dead by the police at the Cherapont campsite in Gouvy. The police had been called to come and calm an alcoholic and aggressive man.
An intervention that therefore turned into a tragedy. “The person allegedly attacked the police team who had to fight back, and she unfortunately died“, indicated the mayor Véronique Léonard to Sudinfo.
