According to the information published by Noticias Costa Oriental del Lago, he responded to the name of José Gregorio Hernández Villasmil.

Although he was transferred to a hospital, he died.

Apparently the assailants had uniforms of the Bolivarian Intelligence Service (Sebin).
A dark-colored Cherokee truck and a white Dodge Ram truck would be involved in the incident, which headed towards the Simón Bolívar municipality.
