Polda Metro Jaya ensures that the case of alleged acceptance of gratuities, bribes, and extortion by Firli Bahuri once morest former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) continues to be processed. Although SYL has been sentenced in the case handled by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
“There is none at all. So the handling of cases by KPK investigators with the handling of cases handled by the Corruption Eradication Sub-Directorate (Polda) do have overlapping events, but each one is running according to the applicable regulations,” said the Director of Special Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimsus) of Polda Metro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Ade Safri Simanjuntak at Polda Metro Jaya, South Jakarta, Monday (15/7).
Ade has not confirmed whether he will re-examine Firli in this corruption case. He only ensured that the case ensnaring the former head of the Anti-Corruption Agency is still ongoing.
“Everything is still ongoing. We will update later, but what is clear is that everything is still ongoing,” said the former Solo Police Chief.
Previously, Polda Metro Jaya was urged to immediately resolve the case of former KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri. The resolution of Firli’s case was considered to be a priority because it received public attention.
“Therefore, I urge Polda Metro to immediately complete Firli’s case,” said former Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigator Yudi Purnomo Harahap.
