Police caught incorrigible beer thief (39) in Vöcklabruck

The handcuffs clicked for a repeat offender on Wednesday evening in the Vöcklabruck area. The 39-year-old, who has no permanent address, was first caught stealing a beer can and other alcoholic drinks in a grocery store in Vöcklabruck late in the followingnoon. A store detective reported the incident to law enforcement. The perpetrator was questioned at the police station and was then allowed to leave the office.

Less than an hour and a half later, the police received another report of theft, this time in a different supermarket. The 39-year-old was following barley juice once more and fled with two beer cans. The police arrested him during a manhunt. He was taken to the Wels prison by order of the public prosecutor’s office, the police said on Thursday.
