MFA: We need time to investigate the case of Poles detained in Nigeria

– We are professionals. We have a lot of means in our equipment – we can escalate, we can de-escalate, but what we use at a given moment depends on the situation in the country itself, as well as bilateral relations. We cannot open certain channels too quickly, so as not to harm these young people – said the undersecretary of state at the conference.

Jakub Wiśniewski was asked about the atmosphere of his meeting with a representative of the Nigerian embassy. – I do not want to reveal the diplomatic cuisine. If I said that our meeting with the chargé d’affaires was rough, it might not serve the purpose. Therefore, it was a good conversation, constructive. I think that the chargé d’affaires perfectly understands the problems we are struggling with and also knows perfectly well how much time is of the essence for us – he said.
