The inauguration of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 period will be held on Sunday, October 20 2024. Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi said that his party had prepared thousands of joint personnel to secure the inauguration. Security includes Polda Metro Jaya personnel and the ranks of the Police, Kodam Jaya, DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, and related stakeholders.

“The security force involves 6,757 personnel,” said Ade Ary to journalists, Thursday (17/10).

The 6,757 personnel consist of 4,100 personnel from the Polda Metro Jaya Task Force, 1,667 personnel from the Joint Police Task Force of the Polda Metro Jaya, 857 from the Central Jakarta Police Task Force and 133 BKO personnel from the Regional Government and related stakeholders.

“The targets for security include people, namely the President and Vice President, invited guests from other heads of state, VIP and VVIP vehicles and the DPR/MPR RI area, routes taken by the President and Vice President, as well as vital objects,” he said.

Furthermore, Ade Ary said that traffic engineering is situational. The police will divert traffic flow if there is congestion around Senayan, Central Jakarta.

“We urge road users to avoid the area and look for alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion,” he said.

Ade Ary invited the public to always maintain security and order. He also asked the personnel carrying out security to carry out security in a humane manner.
