Poland supports Ukraine with howitzers to repel the Russian attack

Warsaw – Archyde.com

Polish public radio said, on Sunday, quoting a government source, that Poland provided 18 self-propelled howitzers (AHS Krab), at a time when Kyiv is trying to repel a major Russian attack in the Donbass region in the east of the country.

Ukraine, facing heavy bombardment in its eastern provinces, demanded that the West provide it with more and longer-range weapons to change the course of the war.

The maximum range of AHS Krab artillery shells is 40 km.

The radio reported that Poland had also trained 100 Ukrainian artillerymen to operate howitzers.

So far, a spokesman for the Polish government and the Ukrainian Defense Ministry did not respond to a request for comment.

On Saturday, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that Ukraine had started receiving Harpoon anti-ship missiles from Denmark and self-propelled howitzers from the United States.
