Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Pavel Yablonsky said that Warsaw intends to help Ukraine in investigating the events in Bucha. He said this on air. Polish radio.
“We are dealing with actions of a very high volume. In this regard, assistance is needed,” the diplomat said. Yablonsky added that the day before he contacted the Ukrainian side and third countries, which are also ready to join the investigation.
According to the deputy minister, evidence is already being collected from residents of Ukraine who were evacuated to Poland and other countries. At the same time, Yablonsky noted the importance of the physical presence of international groups of investigators, criminologists and prosecutors directly at the scene. He added that Polish specialists might arrive in Ukraine this week.
Earlier, Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki proposed to create an international commission to investigate the events in Bucha.
