Poland increased the supply of Rosomak armored personnel carriers to Ukraine to 200 units

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine will receive 200 Rosomak armored personnel carriers from Poland. At the same time, Polish government spokesman Piotr Muller said earlier that Ukraine had increased the order of Rosomak armored personnel carriers from 100 units to 150.

“There are new agreements on infantry fighting vehicles, more than a hundred vehicles. Regarding the Rosomak armored personnel carriers, 200 vehicles, now 100 and 100 later. Also self-propelled mortars, additional missiles, MiGs,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an evening address to Telegram.

At the end of March, the Polish authorities announced plans to increase the supply of ammunition to Ukraine several times as part of the program of 17 EU countries. On April 1, it became known that the armed forces of Ukraine would buy 100 Rosomak armored personnel carriers from Poland and that the US and the EU would pay for the purchase.

The Rosomak armored personnel carrier was developed by SA Rosomak in the Polish city of Semyanovice-Slensk, it is a copy of the Finnish Partia armored personnel carrier. It has been in service with Poland since 2003. The crew of the vehicle is three people, the armored personnel carrier has a 30 mm Bsuhmaster II cannon, an Mk 19 heavy grenade launcher, and a UKM-2000C coaxial machine gun.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy was on a visit to Warsaw on April 5. At a meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda, he stated that “there will be no borders” between his country and Poland.
