La Roja beat La Azzurra with a goal in extra time from Pol Fortuny.
Spain faced Italy this Thursday, July 25, at 3:00 p.m. (Spain) at Windsor Park stadium, in a semi-final match of the 2024 U-19 European Championship.
La Roja came into the match after qualifying for this stage as second in Group B with five points, the result of their matches against Denmark (2-1), Turkey (1-1) and France (2-2).
For their part, the Azzurri had finished at the top of Group A with six points, thanks to their victories over Norway (2-1) and Northern Ireland (3-0) and despite the defeat at the hands of Ukraine (2-3).
This Thursday, the 90-minute draw was goalless and the team went into extra time to decide who would make it to the final of the youth tournament. There, Pol Fortuny scored the only goal of the match. In the decisive match, La Rojita will face either France or Ukraine.
