Christopher Brewer s’impose devant Jules Dickerson
The American wins his second High Roller… of the festival!
Super High Roller – 50 000 € (Day 3 et Finale)
Forty blinds on each side. When we set foot once more in the tournament room, we had no idea that the heads-up of this Super High Roller would only last a handful of minutes before our eyes. And yet. On the carpet, five cards are spread out: 98858. In front of Christopher Brewera black triangle with the inscription “All-in” has been deployed. Jules Dickerson gives the dealer all of his last “Time Bank” cards before pressing the “Call” button. The American turns over his cards: A8, for a flopped set turned square on the river. He didn’t even need to do that. Opposite, Jimmy Guerrero’s friend had paid with a single bluff catcherin this case, a pair of 6s. Jules only has one blind left following this move, which goes to Brewer’s side on a last anecdotal hand.
For his first foray into such an expensive Event, the last French-speaking player in this tournament pocketed a whopping €623,800. Regular events of this kind since the resumption of the post-Covid circuit, Chris Brewer signs him the biggest gain of his live career. A first place at €959,520, which comes… four days following his previous victory. Last Friday, on Event #7 at €25,000, the native of Oregon had triumphed once morest 32 other entrants, for a nice ticket of €357,180. Clearly, five days from the end of the festival, Christopher Brewer is sure to leave with a bigger check than the future winner of the Main Event. Wouldn’t we already have the MVP of this Parisian fortnight?
