Pokémon Scarlet and Purple present a Pokémon that resembles Diglett like two drops of water: evolution or something different?

In Pokemon Scarlet and Purple we will meet quite a few pokemon never seen so far in the series and that will be part of the ninth generation of the saga. So far a good handful of them have been revealed, to which a new one has just been added that The Pokémon Company has revealed by surprise.

In the published video it is dedicated entirely to a Pokémon that at first glance looks like it is a Diglett with Paldea form, following the same example as in Pokemon sun and moon with the Alola forms, Pokémon Sword and Shield with the forms Galar or Pokemon Legends: Arceus with the Hisui forms.

However, beyond its white skin color, seeing it in movement looks like a different Pokémon because its body is longer than normal. That’s why in the video they define it as a new creature named Wiglettso we could be facing a new exclusive evolution of these new installments.

In fact, it is not the first time that we have witnessed a move of this type, because the Meowth of Galar evolved into Perrserker instead of doing it into Persian, so the same could happen here, so that the Diglett of Paldea (in the case that they exist) don’t become Dugtrio and instead become Wiglett.

Even so, we will have to wait for more details about it to be sure if it is related to Diglett in some way or if it is a totally different Pokémon. What is certain is that Pokemon Scarlet and Purple will go on sale on November 18th para Nintendo Switch.
