Pokemon GO: Live ticker for the Hoenn Tour 2023

1:40 p.m

Red confetti continues to fall, so Team Ruby is ahead. That also means: More Groudon raids. This makes the search for Kyogre more difficult.

1:35 p.m

What is striking regarding a February event like this: Pokémon GO is more of a summer game. In any case, it’s only a few degrees above zero here and your hands are freezing. How are you all doing?

1:17 p.m

Tip to catch: What’s worth right now is a buddy Pokémon that is at least Super Buddy. This will help you when balls are blocked. And especially in raids, every ball is really valuable. So, if possible, use a super buddy or better.

1:02 p.m

Trainers report server problems at Hoenn Tour

Apparently, the event is not going completely smoothly for all trainers. This sometimes leads to connection dropouts, which can be very annoying, especially in the raids once morest Kyogre and Groudon.

More regarding this here:

13:00 ‘O clock

It’s almost halftime. We drive to the “Historical Coast”. Collector research is running here:

  • Hydropi
  • perch swine
  • Need
  • Anorith

12:42 p.m

MyMMO colleague Franzi is happy: she has finally caught her long-awaited Shiny Groudon! My MMO colleague Patrick can look back on an escaped and a 2-star Groudon. Not ideal yet! What regarding with you?

This time there were 7 coaches, by the way – which was enough. Groudon has been noticeably easier than Kyogre so far.

12:20 p.m

Raid Report Part 2: This time we fought Primal Groudon, it went better. But it might also be because there were 20 coaches on board this time.

So the raid was done quickly, but only brought a total of 90 energy. So you need a few raids to reach protomorphosis.

12:00 o’clock

12:00 p.m. is reached and the next hour begins! The new habitat is called “Green Earth” – and the collector’s challenge is:

  • Geckarbore
  • gulp
  • slow z
  • Wablu

Hoenn tour at a glance: Here you will find the most important articles regarding the Hoenn Tour.

What is protomorphosis in Pokémon GO?

Protomorphosis is one of the most important new features for the Hoenn Tour. You should also carry this out in the course of the special research – and you need proto-energy for this.

But what is it really? Here you can find detailed information regarding protomorphosis in Pokémon GO.

11:40 a.m

Incidentally, on the Hoenn Tour you also have the chance to encounter regional monsters that do not normally appear in this country. You can find out here where you might meet the regional monsters for the Hoenn tour.

11:20 a.m

My goodness, these proto-raids really aren’t easy. In the MeinMMO-internal fight once morest Proto-Kyogre, we just regarding grabbed the raid with 6 trainers via long-distance raid – to the last few seconds. The reward was 60 Proto-Energy. If you want to get through it faster, you should compete with more coaches.

Kyogre had Surfer in it, which is probably easier to beat than Blizzard Kyogre. Prepare for a tough fight. Groudon is slightly easier to fight thanks to its double weakness to water.

Here are the counters for the fight:

11:05 a.m

Red confetti is currently falling from the sky in Pokémon GO. That means: Team Rubin is currently ahead. So more Groudon proto-raids appear.

11:00 o’clock

11:00 am, next habitat begins. The “Eldritch Mist” is coming, with the Collector’s Challenge:

  • Geweiher
  • Palampalim
  • Behind the
  • Absol

10:45 a.m

Latias and Latios can currently appear in the wild – and there’s even a chance of a Shiny. However, the escape rate is very high.
But: You can get a safe encounter at least once by snapping a Latias or Latios in the wild. Then you get another encounter from a limited research – and then that cannot escape.

Shiny Latias

10:32 a.m

During the event you will find special field research. Some give you Mega Energy, others are regarding ghosts – and they look pretty weird. Everything regarding the special field research “Creepy Secret Code” can be found here.

10:18 a.m

Tipp: If you don’t see the current event research or spawns, restart your game once.

Start of the Hoenn Tour 2023

Here we go! The global Hoenn tour has begun! Put on the trainer cap, grab your Poké Balls and start your journey.

In any case, Professor Willow welcomes us to the research area and tells us regarding the appearance of Proto-Groudon and Proto-Kyogre. At the same time, the “Blazing Sands” habitat also starts.

The collector’s task:

  • Flemmli
  • Tusk
  • Camaub
  • Ninada

09:45 am

Another quarter of an hour, then the worldwide Hoenn tour will also start here. If you haven’t already done so, it’s best to make room in your Pokémon collection as soon as possible. For example, use the filter function and enter “0*, 1*, 2*” in the search – then the game will show you all monsters with less than 3 stars that might possibly be sent.

Also make sure you have enough space for items.

09:20 a.m

Coaches Share Shiny Theory: It is already known that only selected monsters from the Hoenn Tour should get increased shiny rates, there is no general boost. In the Pokémon GO subreddit “TheSilphRoad”, some trainers now share an interesting theory: they believe that the Pokémon you choose “Legend Hunt” in the special research gives you an increased chance of being shiny (via reddit).

So for Tuska, Schuppuck or Gehweiher.

This theory hasn’t been proven, but a couple of trainers in the thread report that they actually got more shinys for their chosen Pokémon. So it might be worth choosing your personal Shiny favorite for the opportunity alone.

09:05 am

Each habitat will also have a gathering task that can bring you rewards.
