The second part of Pokémon GO Winter Holidays 2022 begins today. We explain everything that happens during the event and if it is worth it.
San Francisco – As the holiday season approaches, developer Niantic is launching the second part of the Winter Holidays event in Pokémon GO. These events have a long tradition in Pokémon GO, having been around since 2016 when Pokémon GO took over the smartphones of Pokémon fans. For this event, Niantic has once again shown its imagination to celebrate the end of the year celebrations to the fullest. We reveal what you can expect from this event and whether it is really worth investing time for ambitious trainers.

Pokémon GO: Winter Holidays 2022 Part 2 – This is when it starts
What time will the second part of the Winter Holidays 2022 event take place in Pokémon GO? As soon as the holiday season begins at home, Niantic provides trainers with a host of tasks to occupy them during their free time. The event will continue until the end of the year.
- Launch of the event: Friday, December 23, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. (local time)
- End of the event: Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. (local time)
What are the new Pokemon? These Pokémon variants are first introduced during the event. This year, all Eevee evolutions will come with a colorful set of party hats. (*also possible as Shiny)
- Eevee with party hat
- Aquana with party hat
- Blizza with party hat*.
- Flamara with party hat*.
- Psiana with party hat*.
- Nachtara with party hat*.
- Folipurba with party hat*.
- Glaziola with party hat*.
- Feelinara with party hat*.
It is also possible to evolve Petznief with party loop into Siberio with party loop from the start of the event. Additionally, if you develop an Eevee with a party hat, it will also become one of its special forms with a party hat.
These Pokémon appear during the “Winter Holidays 2022, Part 2” event: During the period from December 23 to December 31, 2022, the following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild:

Pokémon GO: Winter Holidays 2022 Part 2 – All eggs, bonuses, raids and exclusive attacks
The following Pokémon hatch from 7 km Eggs during the event: The second part of the Christmas event also impacts which Pokemon can hatch from 7 km Eggs during the event. Note, however, that the event will have no effect on other eggs.

These raids take place during the event: During the “Winter Festivities 2022, Part 2” event, there will of course be various raids in which you will encounter special Pokémon. You will find in this list all the Pokémon that you will have to face to survive these raids.

You can get this exclusive attack: If you catch a Kyurem during a raid, the Pokémon will learn the “Ice Age” attack.

Pokémon GO: Winter Holidays 2022 Part 2 – Bonuses for Field Research, Temporary Research and Collector Challenge
These bonuses await you as part of Field Research: The Winterfest 2022 Part 2 Event Field Survey grants you the following bonuses when you complete the many tasks.
- Meet Pikachu in winter carnival attire*.
- Meeting Alola-Sandan*.
- Dating Jurob
- Meeting Mouchas*
- Dating Rossana
- Meet Eevee with the party hat*.
- Botogel meets the party ribbon*.
- Meeting Petznief with holiday loop*.
- Meet the Crab Box
- Obtain Mega Energy for Rexblisar
These bonuses await you in the Collector’s Challenge: The Collector’s Challenge is titled “Winter Wonderland” and must be completed by December 25, 2022 at 8:00 PM. The following bonuses await you:
- Additional experience points
- 1 x smoke
- Meeting with pantimos of Galar
These bonuses await you during temporary research: The ticket for the temporary search will cost you around 5€. Please keep in mind that due to new Apple guidelines, the price may be higher for iPhone users. However, the ticket is not required for the Collector’s Challenge and other bonuses. Here are the contents you can unlock with the temporary research ticket for part 2 of the winter holidays:
- A special pose for your avatar
- 1 x smoke
- 1 x Mega Energy for Rexblisar
- 2 x incubator
- Spawns of different Event Pokémon
Is the ticket worth it? Considering the fact that the ticket even costs €6, especially for iPhone users, we can only advise against buying it. You can join the event without the ticket and you won’t miss a thing. Additionally, the items you receive in exchange for the ticket barely make up for the purchase price.
