Pokémon GO: The Art of Catching Event – Start Date and Bonuses

When will the event take place? Pokémon GO’s Catching Arts event will begin and end on Sunday, March 5, 2023. The first major event of March will only last one day, but you’ll have more time than on a community, for example. The event will start at 10:00 a.m. French time, and you will have until 8:00 p.m. to catch Pokémon and complete the research tasks.

  • Launching the capture event: March 5, 2023, 10:00 a.m. (local time)
  • End of capture event: March 5, 2023, 8:00 p.m. (local time)

What are the bonuses? Pokémon GO’s Catching Arts event focuses on battling Pokémon and your own Pokéball handling skills. The three fighting-type monsters Kicklee, Nockchan, and Kapoera have a better chance of being found in Shiny, which might help you increase their numbers. But most importantly, you can benefit from doubling XP if you catch Pokémon with curved balls or good-to-fab throws. It’s worth working on your throwing skills a bit.

  • Increased chance of getting Shiny forms from Kicklee, Nockchan, and Kapoera
  • Double XP by catching Pokémon with Good, Big, and Fabulous Throws, as well as Curveballs.

New temporary search: As part of the temporary search, you will also have to show your fishing skills, but you will have the chance to meet 40 Kapoera. We’ve collected all the tasks for the temporary research during the capture event in another article.

You can get this Pokémon from Field Research and Temporary Research: Besides Kicklee and Nockchan, there is still a Rabauz evolution missing from the selection. Kapoera of course cannot miss the Art of Capture event. You can get this monster in Pokémon GO through Field Research and Temp Research.

If you are particularly interested in Kapoera, we advise you to use the temporary search. You will have the opportunity to encounter this Battle Pokémon up to 40 times.
