Chinese smartphone brand Poco introduced the Poco M3 in India in February 2021, with the device featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 662 SoC with up to 6GB of RAM. The device also offers a 6.53-inch FHD+ display, a triple camera with a 48MP primary shooter and an 8MP front snapper.
Now, it appears that the company is preparing to launch the successor to the Poco M3 in the form of the POCO M4. Indian publication MySmartPrice in collaboration with tipster Mukul Sharma lists some exclusive information regarding the upcoming M-series phone.
A report has revealed that the Poco M4 will be launched in India in early February
According to the details shared with MySmartPriceSharma says the Poco M4 will debut in early February in both the Asian and global markets. In terms of specifications, the device will have a display with support for a refresh rate of 90Hz, a MediaTek SoC, and a triple camera, very similar to its predecessor.
From an optics perspective, the camera module tends to include a 64 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP IMX sensor and a 2 MP lens. On the software side, MIUI 12.5 will run on top of Android 11 out of the box.
We still don’t know which microprocessor will power the device, and it’s likely that this small information will appear along with the benchmark results. When he comes out, we’ll be sure to report the same.

In other news, the Poco M3 unit recently caught fire, with Twitter user Mahesh08716488 (@mahesh08716488) tweeting that the smartphone caught fire and exploded.
The image on Twitter shows the Poco M3 with the bottom of the device riddled with damage, with the top unit being the only visible part.
The company said at the time that its team was investigating the cause so it might be resolved as soon as possible. POCO has also assured the user that it will provide the best possible solution in this matter.
Moreover, another report indicates that POCO will soon launch a laptop in India. The launch indicates an imminent launch of the country’s first POCO laptop.
The battery derives its energy from a capacity of 3620 mAh which is a 55.02 Wh battery unit. This battery looks like a replacement battery. The company can launch a gaming laptop quite well. However, this is the first time since POCO announced the expansion of its ecosystem.
