POCO M6 Pro 4G: MIUI 14 of the cell phone is simplified and leaves users disappointed

Launched in conjunction with the POCO X6 line, the POCO M6 Pro 4G is generating negative feedback for Xiaomi due to its apparently “simplified” software.

The information was shared by several Indian users and was also highlighted on local technology channels. The POCO M6 Pro 4G has MIUI 14 running under Android 13, that is, the same situation as the standard POCO X6.

However, the MIUI of the M6 Pro Does not include the wallpaper blur effect in the action center and this shows that the feature was removed so as not to affect the smartphone’s performance.

See the example below:

As much as it may seem simply aesthetic, removing this feature is something that Xiaomi only does on very basic smartphones. In other words, in those where the manufacturer knows that the chipset will not be able to run MIUI 14 completely.

And, in the case of the POCO M6 Pro, the device was launched with the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultra chipset, which POCO itself promoted as being a more powerful and efficient version.

Therefore, many question whether the data presented by the company is true or whether this simplified MIUI is just a symptom that the company “doesn’t care much” about cell phones.

POCO’s new software policy provides that the M6 Pro 4G will receive three versions of Android and an extra year of security updates.

For now, Xiaomi has not commented on the matter. In any case, Indian users are requesting that the company activate the feature and release “complete” software when HyperOS is made available.

The Poco M6 Pro is not yet available in Brazilian stores. To be notified when it arrives.
