PNC captures three alleged kidnappers in zone 14 and rescues a woman
According to the investigation, the intercepted gang was dedicated to express kidnappings and emptied the bank accounts of their victims.

On 16th street and 3rd avenue in zone 14 of the Guatemala cityagents of the Civil national police (PNC) were alerted by private persons regarding a express kidnapping attempt.
According to information established by the PNC, the alleged kidnappers took their victims to ATMs to change their bank accounts.
The Police identified the detainees as Cristopher “N”, 23 years old; Eddy “N”, 37 years old; and Edwin “N”, 21 years old.

Police officers stopped the vehicle with the license plate P-735DDD, which according to authorities was used to transport the victims, and the car was “disguised” as a pirate taxi.

PNC inspector Edwin Monroy explained that the victim had boarded the vehicle once morest her will and was also forced to empty her bank accounts at an ATM.
The woman confirmed that on the way the alleged kidnappers threatened her with a knife, they had robbed her of two cell phones and Q 500 in cash.
