Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s son and state minister Aditya Thackeray’s son has been released from his car by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security officials as his name was not on the list provided by the state government. Aditya Thackeray has been dropped from Uddhav’s car by Special Protection Group (SPG) officials in charge of his security following he was not named in the list of VIPs to receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Mumbai.

Uddhav Thackeray, who was upset with Aditya getting out of his car, had an argument with security officials for Aditya, national media reported. Uddhav argued that Aditya Thackeray was not only his son but also a minister in the Maharashtra government who had the right to adopt the Prime Minister as per official protocol.

After a lengthy debate, Prime Minister’s security officials allowed Aditya Thackeray to continue traveling in a car with Uddhav. Arriving in Mumbai, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was received by Uddhav Thackeray and Aditya Thackeray.
