PML-N Gets Green Light for Pakistan Minar Rally in Lahore, Sets Stage for Mass Gathering

The district administration of Lahore has given permission to the Pakistan Muslim League (N) to hold a rally at Minar Pakistan on October 21, where former prime minister and party leader Nawaz Sharif will address the occasion of his return home.

In a letter issued on October 14, Deputy Commissioner Lahore addressed Muslim League (N) spokesperson Bilal Yasin and said that the organizers should submit an affidavit to take full responsibility in case of any untoward incident. Later, permission has been given for the proposed location.

He said that the district administration and police have proposed to issue NOC for public meeting in Minar Pakistan Lahore.

The letter said the permission was given on the basis of certain conditions, including an emergency exit route and cooperation with the police.

The Deputy Commissioner said that there will be no speech against constitutional institutions, armed forces, judiciary, fire and any kind of prohibited sloganeering must be avoided.

The permit said that in view of the overall security situation and the threats received from various quarters, the organizers are once again warned and directed that as long as the rally continues, the participants and general public Necessary measures should be taken in and around the meeting hall for safety.

He was admonished for not appearing in the Al-Azizia and Avonfield cases.

Pakistan Muslim League (N) President Shehbaz Sharif announced last month that Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan on October 21 and the party said that Nawaz Sharif is ready to face all kinds of situations after returning home.
