Huge, incredible, dazzling. The superlatives were numerous following the presentation of a first check by Sandrine Moustardier, ambassador of the “Plus fort la vie” operation which has been making local news for many months in Bessan and the surrounding area.
Since 2014, this mother has been mobilizing, with loyal supporters, to raise funds for the Val d’Aurelle Cancer Institute in Montpellier (ICM), represented by Marc Ychou, its general director.
Over the months, various and varied actions have been undertaken for this fourth edition, following those of 2014, 2016 and 2019. Hundreds of people, including Bessan schoolchildren, mobilized and a show of songs and dances, organized at the departmental sports hall, made it possible to make an initial assessment before the end of the operation next spring. After more than three hours of show (As dance troupe and singers Luna Gabriel, Gaëlle Boudier, Tony and the young pianist Marwal), the audience was won over.
A public surprised by the amount already collected, which was officially handed over to the ICM in order to provide the institute with an innovative and unique robot to support hospitalized children during radiotherapy.
Indeed, Marc Ychou, in the presence of the mayor, Stéphane Pépin-Bonet, received a check for €70,000.
Smiles were on everyone’s lips with strong thanks to Sandrine Moustardier, happy to help her “second family” as she indicated.
The “Stronger Life 2023” operation continues until next spring with many more solidarity actions.
