It’s official, the return of Plus belle la vie will be on TF1. The emblematic series of France 3 will reappear on our screens two years following its shutdown, as reported by Le Figaro.
In 2022, the cessation of the Plus belle la vie series had caused a lot of talk, as the fans were disappointed to no longer find their daily program. And then, on the economic level, no less than 600 people, mobilized for filming in Marseille, had packed up following the abolition of the soap opera offered since 2004 on France 3. After 18 years of broadcasting on the same channel, Plus belle la vie won the longevity record for a French series.
Now it’s official, the program is making a comeback, as Le Figaro announced this Sunday, July 16. In effect, the series Plus belle la vie is taken over by TF1 which intends to boost its audiences on television and on its MYTF1 site.
Remember, in 2004, Plus belle la Vie appeared on France 3 by offering the stories of the inhabitants of a fictional district of Marseille, The Mistral. The viewers thus followed the joys, the loves but also the worries of these characters once morest a backdrop of police intrigue. A recipe that has been successful since the series posted audience records of up to 6 million viewers.
More beautiful life has also launched the careers of many actors like Laëtitia Milot, Rebecca Hampton or even Fabienne Carat. In the new version, Laurent Kérusoré (Thomas Marci) or Cécilia Hornus (Blanche Marci) would be part of the cast, according to Le Figaro
More beautiful life: back on TF1 in 2024
After Tomorrow belongs to us and Here everything begins, TF1 will therefore bet on a new daily soap opera. “Iconic television brands are rare. Those that continue to have a loyal and largely young audience are very rare. And those that, in addition, are able to generate strong audiences both in linear and digital are extremely rare. It turns out that Plus Belle la vie brings together all of these qualities,” said Ara Aprikian, deputy general manager in charge of content for the TF1 group. The channel intends to increase traffic to its website. Filming of the new version of Plus belle la vie will begin in October for a release announced in early 2024. The broadcast time of the episodes has not yet been decided, reports Le Figaro.
