The Arauco Malleco Coordinator (CAM) issued a statement claiming responsibility for five attacks that have occurred in recent days in the south of the country. In addition, they indicated that they will continue with their actions, even if there is a new constitution.
This for the first anniversary of the death of Paul Marchantwho died in the middle of a sabotage in the Carahue commune on July 9, 2021, where he was shot in the head.
The violent group claimed responsibility for the attacks, which it described as “a series of sabotage actions once morest the main expressions of capitalist extractivism in different parts of the Wallmapu”. These were carried out by five of his armed forces.

“With these actions, in addition to remembering and honoring the figure of Toño (Marchant), we reinforce our political-military line as a revolutionary organizationwhich is in accordance with the strategic project of resistance and reconstruction of the Mapuche nation people that we have promoted for decades and for which Pablo Marchant gave his life”, they pointed out.
They will continue even if there is a new constitution
Meanwhile, they pointed out that “extractivism and militarization in Wallmapu will not change under the pseudo-left government of Gabriel Boric nor with a new constitution, therefore, As CAM we will deepen our strategic project both in the militaryin the political-cultural as well as in the productive, intensifying the territorial recoveries”.
