Israeli officials have said that Iran assigned an Israeli Jew the task of killing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Gallant or Shin Bet chief Bar.
According to a report in the Times of Israel, 73-year-old Moti Maman was smuggled twice to Iran to meet with intelligence officers there to settle matters. Maman was produced in court after his arrest last month. This was stated by the Israeli authorities on September 19.
In a joint statement by Israel’s internal intelligence agency Shin Bet and the police, Maman was tasked and paid by Iranian officials.
A few days ago, Israel said that Hezbollah had also plotted to kill a number of high-ranking military officers, including the former Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, Moshe Ya’alon.
