Subholding PLN Energi Primer Indonesia (PLN EPI) is committed to supporting the reliability of electricity supply during the Ramadan period by strengthening the supply of generating fuel.
In an official statement received on Sunday (17/3), PLN EPI President Director Iwan Agung Firstantara said, PLN EPI ensures sufficient generator fuel by continuing to strengthen the supply chain and improving procedures for supplying generator fuel.
“PLN EPI is ready to provide reliable electricity supply during the Ramadan period this year. Generator fuel stocks are currently at a safe level.”
Iwan emphasized that apart from strengthening fuel supplies, PLN EPI also continues to monitor loading and unloading and procurement, all of which is monitored digitally.
Iwan detailed that coal stocks for power plants are generally in a safe condition. The need for coal for power plants, he said, is currently in a safe condition with an average of more than 20 Operating Days (HOP).
For PLN’s Steam Power Plant (PLTU) coal stock for the Java-Madura-Bali (Jamali) system, for example, it reached 26.6 HOP. Meanwhile, the stock for the Sumatra-Kalimantan (Sumkal) system is 22.6 HOP, and for Sulawesi-Maluku-Papua-Nusa Tenggara it is 32.6 HOP.

Apart from coal needs, PLN also guarantees the availability of other primary energy needs such as fuel and gas. With Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) stock above 20 HOP.
It is recorded that national nominations for gas requirements for PLN power plants reached 1,220 BBTUD with an average realization of 1,229 BBTUD.
Meanwhile, meeting the need for fuel as generator fuel also continues to be strengthened, where the average fuel stock throughout the system is now above 11 HOP.
