Al-Marsad newspaper: The artist, Fifi Abdo, was agitated by one of Basma Wahba’s questions and asked to end her interview with her, during her hosting of the “Al-Arafa” program on Al-Mehwar channel.
This came following showing part of a previous interview she conducted with Iraqi broadcaster Nizar Al-Faris, during which she talked regarding her grave, and her refusal to place the title of a dancer over the grave.
Basma Wahba said that the announcer’s question was intended to insult Fifi Abdo, so the latter got angry, saying: “Please don’t let anyone tell me this.”
And Fifi Abdo added: “I don’t know how to convey to him the sentence that he wants. He does not understand our system, with evidence that I told him.”
She refused to answer Basma Wahba’s question regarding writing the title “The Dancer” on her grave, saying: “We will sit and talk regarding words that are not necessary, why?
And Fifi Abdo continued, “The question did not bother me. I am coming to work with you for a meeting. I am not coming to look forward to this. He said this is a job. I like this sincerely. We can close the program on this and thank you.”
