In recent months, there have been rumors that PlayStation will launch a game subscription service that rivals Microsoft’s XGP. Recently, according to game industry sources, SONY may have determined a pricing strategy for the service named “Spartacus”, which will be divided into three different prices.
According to industry insider Jeff Grubb, “Spartacus” is divided into three services at different price points: the $10 basic version has basically the same content as PS Plus; the $13 enhanced version will provide 250-300 games, all of which can be played on PS Now downloads, but no streaming services; the $16 Platinum Edition includes everything for both prices, plus classic games, streaming services, and game demos.
One of the biggest selling points of the Microsoft XGP platform is that all games produced by Microsoft will join XGP on the day of launch, but Jeff Grubb said through the information that SONY will not follow Microsoft’s strategy.
