For this very first month of 2023, Sony opens the festivities with three titles in the PlayStation Plus program. One of them has been well received within the independent scene, another has benefited from adjustments and additions since its layoff, and the last serves as a booster shot, pending its eagerly awaited sequel by the Star Wars fans (Jedi Survivor). On to the details!
Fallout 76 (PS4) – Currently available in the Playstation Plus Extra offer
♦ Developer/Publisher: Bethesda Softworks ♦ Genre: Action, RPG
♦ Released: 14/11/2018 ♦ Players: 1 / 1 to 24 ♦ Test: Ici ♦ Availability: From January 3, 2023
♦ Download link: Fallout 76
The game offers you to embody a survivor of shelter 76. You will therefore have to face the outside world and the radioactivity that goes with it. And as in any self-respecting Fallout, you will have to take on main missions and side missions, all in RPG style. This main quest will lead you to nuclear missile silos.
Tof’s review of the title
The title has really benefited from recent updates and then, frankly, its gameplay suits me well. Admittedly, the absence of NPCs with whom to chat takes away some of the usual Fallout fun, but this is a different game. It’s survival, period. If we start from this principle, the title is not bad. But hey, you have to like the great moments of solitude, we are not talking to anyone in this title. If you accept this fact and you like to trudge, build, improve, you will probably enjoy playing Fallout 76. Read the entire test.
Axiom Verge 2 (PS4 & PS5)
♦ Developer/Publisher: Thomas Happ Games ♦ Genre: Action, Metroidvania
♦ Released: 08/09/2022 ♦ Player: 1 ♦ Availability: From January 3, 2023
♦ Download link: Axiom Verge 2
Billionaire at the head of the Globe 3 conglomerate, Indra has gone to Antarctica to investigate the disappearance of her daughter. However, she finds herself thrown into a parallel reality, invaded by parasitic machines, both friendly and the other way around.
My opinion on the title
If he risks being in the shadow of his big brother, because of some gameplay inaccuracies, the title remains more accessible. In addition, the Metroidvania dimension as well as its exploration, mixed with ingenious enigmas / puzzles, and its secrets are among the strong points. To try if you are fond of Metroids, and Metroid-like, but also games in pixelart and Metroidvania!
Favorite of January 2023
♦ Developer/Publisher: Respawn Entertainment / Electronic Arts ♦ Genre: Adventure, Action
♦ Released: 15/11/2019 ♦ Player: 1 ♦ Test: Ici ♦ Availability: From January 3, 2023

Star Wars Jedi – Fallen Order (PS4 & PS5)
You play as a young Jedi, Cal Kestis, who hides out to escape Order 66, the Jedi extermination order issued by Emperor Palpatine. He works on a planet dedicated to recycling old ships for the Empire and his cover is pretty solid, well, until there was that barge crash that forced him to use his powers to save his friend. . He is then forced to flee and he will quickly make contacts within the rebellion.
Tof’s review of the title (PS4)
Yes the game does not invent much. It picks up proven gameplay here and there. We feel the influence of Uncharted and Tomb Raider in the climbing phases. The puzzles also refer to these licenses. But the tour de force of the game is to still have its own identity, its trademark. It is the result of a successful mix of game phases, spectacular scenes to please fans and rather well thought out levels. Fans will be thrilled. Read the entire test.
