PlayStation 5: the PSVR 2 headset could be postponed to 2023

What if Sony’s new virtual reality headset doesn’t come out in 2022? This is a possibility, mentioned by the specialized YouTube channel PSVR Without Word.

Everything to avoid the shortage

Despite Sony’s announcements which follow one another, with, initially, the presentation of the controllersand more recently the helmet itself, PSVR 2 might be delayed to 2023.

As the YouTube channel PSVR Without Parole explainsSony would like to avoid stock worries. Especially since the shortage problems experienced by the PlayStation 5 since its launch in November 2020 have still not been resolved.. And since the headset will only be compatible with the PlayStation 5, it wouldn’t make sense to have enough headsets on the shelves but not consoles.

The rumor, which announces that the helmet would be available in the first quarter of 2023, is therefore plausible. No offense to eager fans who want to dive into Horizon Call of the Mountain, the first major VR game announced by Sony.
