A Sony officially started selling this Wednesday (17th) the new PlayStation 5 Digital Edition with the Slim design. The console arrived on the national market with the suggested price of R$ 3,799.90that is, R$200 less than the official value of the previous model.
The new version of the PS5 was announced by Sony in October last year in a more compact format, with a 30% smaller volume and a reduced weight of between 18% and 24% compared to the original version, in addition to the disc reader being removable (available for purchase later).
In the packaging of the new hardware, players will already find the horizontal support for the PS5 Slim. Although, the console needs an additional accessory, which costs R$150, to stay vertical. The video game maintains the features available on the PS5 standard.
Therefore, the PS5 Slim supports 3D audio, 4K resolution graphics and adaptive triggers. An advantage over the previous model is the greater storage space of 1 TB, as the standard PlayStation 5 has 825 GB available on the SSD.
Also according to Sony, the PS5 Slim will have special covers with different colors so that players can customize it according to their preference. More details and the arrival of these accessories in Brazil will be announced soon.
