Players’ Salary Dispute and New Crisis in Pakistan Cricket: Latest Updates and Demands

Islamabad: Players’ salary dispute has become a new crisis in Pakistan cricket. The players expressed their dissatisfaction with the remuneration they get for playing in the Pakistan team. As part of this, they refused to sign the agreement. The players are not at all satisfied with the new remuneration proposal put forward by the Pakistan Cricket Board. Now there are reports that some players have said that they are not interested in signing.

Currently, the Pakistan team is on a tour of Sri Lanka. Pakistan captain Babar Azam will hold a discussion with Pakistan Cricket Board chief Sakha Ashraf in the background of the new incidents.

Nayak will convey the demand of the players to increase the remuneration in the discussion. Apart from this, they have raised demands such as ensuring insurance coverage for the players and their families, providing facilities for children’s education, sharing of income from ICC tournaments.

The players are also demanding that no objection certificates be given to Pakistani players regarding playing in franchise leagues. The Pakistan Cricket Board had asked the players to pay $25,000 each to play in the Global T20 League in Canada. Many of the players from the Canadian League earned 5,000 dollars

There are also reports that Pakistan players earn less than other major cricket boards. There are also reports that the contracts of Pakistan’s senior players have expired on June 30. Many players are playing Test series in Sri Lanka without contract.
