Player used cheats to qualify for World Series of Warzone 2024

Recently, the qualifying stage for the World Series of Warzone 2024 took place and one player admitted to using hacks during the competition, but still failed to qualify. The hacker in question, Vexoh, He admitted his wrongdoings in Xand confessed to cheating during the WSOW LCQ.

In the now-deleted post, Vexoh said, “Yeah I did that shit, there’s no way to fight that. I just got greedy.” He then claimed that he and his teammate aren’t the only ones using cheats in WSOW, saying, “If you really believe me, Chef and Onoy are the only people who did it, you’re blatantly wrong.”

“I’m good at hiding it,” Vexoh said, suggesting others in World Series of Warzone are as well.

One of Vexoh’s teammates, Ro-Breezy, claimed to have no idea that his team was cheating. He even posted a video of their conversation on Discord in which the cheater admitted to using cheats. Vexoh said that he had been using cheats since February 2024.

“I know it’s obviously wrong, but I took the risk,” he said as the two continued to argue before Ro-Breezy eventually ended the call, calling Vexoh a “coward.”

While the cheating team failed to qualify, it leaves a bad taste in the mouth knowing that these individuals affected the competition and prevented other legitimate players from qualifying.

At the time of writing, Activision has not commented on the matter.

Warzone’s competitive scene is affected by hackers

The World Series of Warzone is supposed to see only the best Battle Royale players from around the world competing for a whopping $1 million. However, having vulnerabilities like this in a competitive scene affects even legitimate players hoping to qualify… especially when you consider that there’s a lot of money at stake.

Cheating in video games is nothing new, and has been around since the days of arcades. Nowadays, many developers have implemented systems to prevent dishonest players from using them in their games. In the case of Activision, it uses RICOCHET Anti-Cheat for all Call of Duty and Warzone releases.

However, in recent years, the shooter has been plagued by cheaters despite the anti-cheat and this has tainted the competitive Call of Duty scene.
