Player rating: Kalmar FF – Djurgårdens IF

Oskar Fallenius scored DIF’s only goal – but was there any player who stood out?

DIF traveled to Kalmar with the aim of staying at Malmö FF. Instead, it was a frustrating loss, which means that the dream of gold is far away.

Rating scale

5 – Masterful
4 – Very good
3 – Bra
2 – Approved
1 – Bad

Jacob Widell Zetterström – 2

The goalkeeper was the man of rumors this week when reports of a bid from English Derby County emerged. So far, Djurgården has not finished with any club, so the 25-year-old thus took a place between the posts. Didn’t have to exert much effort and mightn’t be loaded for any of the targets. Came out crazy and collided with Jacob Une Larsson in the first half.

Peter Therkildsen – 1

No, Djurgården is not doing well in the right-back position. With Piotr Johansson injured, most people thought the association would act – something they have not done. The Dane came from two approved efforts and fell flat once morest Kalmar. Again did not look like a right back as he ran astray and was constantly wrong in positional play. He did answer for a good pass to Deniz Hümmet, but it is not enough for a passing grade. Here, sporting director Bosse Andersson needs to find a replacement immediately.

Jacob Une Larsson (out 45+6) – 3

Miro Tenho was hit last and had to step off. The Finn trained as usual with the team at Kaknäs, but started on the bench – which opened up for “JUL”. Had to fight with skilled Dino Islamovic and had good control of the striker. Good in the passing game, but a bit hot in the melee. Collided with Jacob Widell Zetterström at the end of the first half. Tried to play on, but the blow to the head forced him to step off.

Marcus Danielson – 1

Second game from the start since the return and it is no exaggeration to write that the old “Mackan” is as if blown away. It once once more looked heavy and out of sync. Lost the ball in a dangerous position in his own half and failed to catch up with Dino Islamovic in connection with the 1-1 goal.

Samuel Dahl – 1

A largely lackluster effort from the successful man. All Djurgård supporters have been spoiled with fine performances, but this followingnoon’s match was one of the left back’s worse in blue stripes. Had problems in the passing game and ball handling.

Albin Ekdal (out 71) – 2

Was rewarded with first start since early May following two strong runs on the restart. Started the match very well. Acted resolutely in close matches, at the same time making several important breaks. However, this decreased as DIF went down in the second half. Replaced when Djurgården was regarding to force.

Besard Sabovic – 2

Far from as dominant as in previous matches. Got a new pairing horse next to him in the form of Ekdal – a collaboration that mixed and gave. Although the disappointment is great considering the result, it is not in midfield that the Blue Stripes lose the game. Had a dangerous header in added time.

Gustav Wikheim (out 71) – 1

It is becoming difficult for Bergstrand and Lagerlöf to justify why Wikheim gets the chance from the start time and time once more. A lot of it is that the options behind are not good enough to be in a golden battle, but currently Wikheim is the offensive player with the worst form. Couldn’t take the job and once he had the ball he tangled instead of playing to a teammate. Could have given Djurgården the lead following five minutes. Went away in connection with Kalmar FF’s first goal. Here is another position Bosse Andersson needs to review.

Tokmac Nguyen (out 13)

Always playable and in motion. Got a free before being forced out due to injury. Played too short to rate.

Oskar Fallenius – 2

The big surprise in the starting eleven. Most believed in the same offensive quartet as once morest IFK Värnamo, but Bergstrand and Lagerlöf gave the 22-year-old the chance instead of Tobias Gulliksen. Thanked for the trust by scoring 0–1, nicely played by the aforementioned Gulliksen. Was partially invisible following the goal, although he never stopped running. Drove with the ball in connection with KFF’s equalizing goal.

Marine Hummet – 1

A little hard with a one maybe, but when it was decided, the striker was unrecognizable. Was given a clearance and was served to another, but might not manage. Hopefully this is just a one-off.

Tobias Gulliksen (in 13) – 2

Rested initially, but had to jump in early. Come in with a lot of energy. Played nicely until Oskar Fallenius following a lot of back and forth. Wanted to contribute and make a difference when many other DIF players looked exhausted.

Miro Tenho (in 45+6) – 2

Substituted in the lead and was on the pitch when the away team conceded both goals. That should be enough for a failing grade, but the Finn might not be charged for any of the goals. Also acted as a savior in a pinch when he blocked a dangerous shot in the second half. Needs to stay healthy and injury free now that Une Larsson may be gone.

Samuel Leach Holm (in 71) – 1

Was benched following two straight starts. Replaced Albin Ekdal in connection with the final push and gained great confidence, without impressing. Came down deep down the pitch to control the plays, but it rather resulted in the midfielder playing away pass following pass.

Magnus Eriksson (in 71) – 2

Unlike Leach Holm, the team captain jumped in with an attitude that rubbed off on the other players. Looked to really want to win and help the team forward. It is no secret that the 34-year-old is not satisfied with the situation in the association, but there was no sign of frustration in the transfer.
