Player Profile: Lior Refaelov’s Achievements and Career Journey in Belgian Football

Lior Refaelov trained at Maccabi Haifa, where he made his professional debut in 2004. In 2011, he left Haifa for Belgium, signing for Club Brugge. He won two Belgian championship titles (2016, 2018), a Belgian Cup (2015) and two Belgian Supercups (2016, 2018) with the Blauw & zwart. He then joined Antwerp in 2018, with whom he won the Belgian Cup in 2020 and the Golden Shoe the same year. Arrived at the end of the contract at Antwerp in 2021, he moved to RSCA, where he played 91 games in two seasons, compiling 25 goals and 13 assists.

Last season, Refaelov reached the final of the Belgian Cup with Anderlecht, lost once morest La Gantoise, and 3rd place in the league. This season, he failed to help the RSCA reach the top 8 with a final 11th place. On the European scene, Anderlecht had been eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Conference League by AZ Alkmaar.

Maccabi Haifa have clinched their third Israeli league title in a row this season, bringing their total titles to 15.
