This Macron minister melts the hearts of the French…

The “Playboy” issue with France’s State Secretary Marlène Schiappa (40) on the front page has become a sales hit. As “Playboy” director Jean-Christophe Florentin announced on Monday, the 100,000 copies were completely sold out after just three hours on the day of publication.

According to Florentin, only around 30,000 copies of an issue would normally be sold – because of the great rush, 60,000 copies are now being reprinted. It was known beforehand that the magazine would not contain any nude photos of the politician.

Schiappa had given the “Playboy” a humorous interview over twelve pages; Among other things, the Macron confidant spoke about women’s and LGBTQ rights. Schiappa became secretary of state for equality between men and women in 2017 and has been an assistant minister in the French government since 2020.

The Secretary of State posed for the magazine in a white dress in front of the national colors of France. In the interview, she answered questions such as “Does politics increase pleasure?”, “Is it a pleasure to exercise power?” and “Are you a seductress?”.

In the inside of the magazine, Schippa poses with red-lacquered fingernails and, among other things, in a pompous white frilled dress. She wears the “Tricolore” (the French national colors blue, white and red) as a bow on her chest.

A politician in an erotic magazine – a taboo for many French people. She got a lot of headwind for her performance. Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne (61) criticized the slightly different photo shoot, saying it was “not appropriate, especially at this time”.

France is currently in a serious political crisis. Citizens across the country have been protesting and striking since President Macron pushed through a controversial pension reform. Most recently, Paris sank into mountains of rubbish.

And Schiappa also had to put up with criticism from opposition politicians. “We are in the middle of a social crisis,” warned Green politician Sandrine Rousseau (51). “France is falling apart,” rumbled Jean Luc Mélenchon (71), who took third place in the 2022 presidential elections.
