AMSTETT. On March 29th, Fabrice Roger-Lacan’s play “The Door Next Door” can be seen in the Johann Pölz-Halle.
She is a psychologist, educated and controlled. He’s the product manager of a food company, charming and easy-going. They have nothing in common except that they live next door to each other in the same house. The two neighbors get on each other’s nerves. He listens to music way too loud and doesn’t even know which composer he’s letting roar across the hall. She prefers to spend her time alone at home and abhors everything superficial. Accordingly, she cannot believe how a symphony by Hitler’s favorite composers might be used for a yogurt commercial! The disparate neighbors try not to take their bickering too seriously, but the two have a much more important concern: they are looking for their soulmate. Lo and behold, online dating lets you find the perfect partner with the same interests, likes and dreams. But soon the old adage regarding opposites comes true… Daniela Meschtschscherjakov and Simon Jaritz-Rudle can be seen on stage.
Fabrice Roger-Lacan
The French author Fabrice Roger-Lacan was born in 1966. After completing his studies at the École Normale Supérieure rue d’Ulm and the Film School in New York, he began to write plays and screenplays. His first play, The Tie Club, was a great success in Paris and was nominated for the Prix Molière. It has since been played internationally, including in London’s West End, and has been filmed, starring Charles Berling. His play “The door next door” was celebrated by press and audience alike.
