Kalpetta എസ് The SFI march in Wayanad was decided on the assumption that the MP’s office would be unoccupied. The plan was to go upstairs to the office, place a banana in the MP’s chair, take a photo and go viral on social media. However, the plan fell through when the police guarded the shutters in front of the office. Activists then dragged bananas to the top of the building. Plan B was thus implemented to get into the office anyway.
Protesters say they did not expect employees inside the office when they were dragged through a window. All plans were thwarted when Augustine Pulpally, an office worker, was assaulted. The mob then attacked the office. The CPM leaders themselves say they did not have to go inside the office.
