This Saturday evening, following several hours of patience, the crews left the aircraft to reach surrounding hotels. “The situation is changing for the better.”, assures Christian Delcourt, who foresees an improvement in the situation during the day on Sunday. However, it will be necessary to wait until the end of the weekend, at least, for a return to normal.
During the blockage, the planes which were to land in Liège are in transit at other airports. At least 6 planes are for example on standby in Zaventem.
