Plane crash in Brazil: he goes to the wrong boarding gate and escapes death – RTL

Normally, missing your plane is never good news. Except in the case of Adriano Assis, a Brazilian who was to board Voepass’ plane on board which 61 people died on Friday August 9 in Brazil. By going to the wrong boarding gate, he escaped death.

According to local media TV Globotwo flights were operating the same route that day, from Cascavel to São Paulo: a plane from the Voepass company and another from the Latam-Airlines company. Similar journeys just a few minutes apart who misled some passengers, including Adriano Assis.

Arriving at the wrong gate, he waited nearly an hour for boarding to begin. A little before 11 a.m., he realized his mistake and rushed to the right gate. There, he tried as best he could to negotiate with an airline employee to let him board despite his delay. Without knowing it, this agent saved his life by refusing his request. “He saved my life. He did his job.”said Adriano Assis, who said he threw himself into the employee’s arms when he heard about the tragedy.

About ten passengers missed the fatal flight

This Brazilian would not be the only one to have missed the plane. According to Globo, About ten people did not get on board and thus escaped certain death. Flight 2283, operated by the Brazilian company Voepass, disappeared from the radar on Friday, August 9, one hour and 26 minutes after takeoff. The plane crashed about 80 km northwest of São Paulo, breaking into the garden of a house in a residential area. Impressive videos filmed by neighbors and shared on social networks show the sudden free fall of the plane.

Brazil’s Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Cenipa) has opened an investigation to determine the causes of the disaster and plans to publish a preliminary report within thirty days. Cenipa experts analyze the two black boxes recovered from the aircraftcontaining cabin conversations and flight data. No investigative leads have been released by authorities.
