Since its opening, the media library has offered a “gaming” space for video game players. For the tournament, the exhibition/meeting room with its large screen was ideal for players and spectators because it allowed emulation between candidates, mutual aid and encouragement between players and also the public.
The “house” champions were grouped into groups so that in the end only one or one remained. Joysticks in hand, the race started for four laps and then two for the final stages.
To be faster, to overcome obstacles, to finish first, everyone wants to succeed. Zoé is determined, Sirine, 7 years old, is encouraged by Samuel, a schoolboy: “Come on, it’s the third lap, use the object to accelerate, you’re in front”. Her mother is both proud and surprised because “she wanted to try even if she doesn’t know, she told me I’m old enough so I would like to register”. As for Samuel’s mother, she notes: “There is a very friendly atmosphere, the children help each other, it’s really good, it’s a great event.”
Garance Aldebert, multimedia referent at the media library, keeps the accounts and announces that the winner of the Mario Kart tournament at the Plaisance media library is Hisahito Culron from Chazeaux. He will participate on November 4 in the winners’ tournament at the Labège departmental media library.
Anne Jaulin, head of the media library, follows the tournament and wonders if “one day perhaps why not organize a tournament for adults”.
It was the 3rd edition of the inter-media library tournament driven by the departmental media library and always scheduled during the holidays. 44 municipalities participated in this event.
