Anonymous female singer Appeared on ‘Shadow’ on Spanish TV… “Attempted sexual harassment in a theater in the early 2000s”

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Correspondent Yuri Shin = Archyde.com reported on the 15th (local time) that Placido Domingo (82), who reigned as an opera virtuoso and was ruined by a sexual scandal, was caught up in another sexual harassment allegation.
According to reports, an anonymous female opera singer appeared in shadow on Spanish TV that day and claimed that Domingo had sexually harassed her at a theater in the early 2000s.
The woman said that following rehearsal, Domingo said, “Can I put my hand in one of your pretty pockets?”
“I was wearing pants with embroidered back pockets at the time,” he said.
The woman said she hadn’t reported Domingo to her superiors or the authorities, adding, “He’s Domingo. He’s someone you wouldn’t dare touch.”
The woman also claimed that Domingo had attempted to kiss her on other occasions.
Domingo’s side has not released an official response to these allegations.
Domingo, who was previously called one of the world’s top three tenors and acted as an opera mogul, took a plunge in 2019 when the exposure of “Me Too” (Me Too), which accused victims of sexual violence, surfaced.
In a 2020 investigation by the Opera Union of America (AGMA), more than 30 singers, dancers, musicians and stage personnel stated that they had experienced or witnessed inappropriate behavior by Domingo over the past 30 years.
Domingo issued an apology immediately following the controversy, but later reversed his stance and has not admitted any charges.
Domingo had his performances canceled one following another in the United States and Spain in the followingmath of the sexual scandal, and while moving to Europe to continue his activities, he suffered the humiliation of being denied a standing ovation by an orchestra member in an Italian performance in August of last year.
Domingo previously claimed in an interview with Spanish media in January last year that he had never sexually assaulted anyone and that because he remained silent, he felt like he was standing in the judgment seat of public opinion.
