The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) wants to hold communication with the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) in the Jakarta Gubernatorial Election (Pilgub). They will offer their cadres in the discussion that will be held later.
“The first option is Aman (Anies Baswedan-Sohibul Iman) and there is our cadre Mr. Sohibul Iman. And now in the second option, we are also proposing whether our cadre will advance as a gubernatorial candidate or as a deputy gubernatorial candidate,” said PKS spokesman Muhammad Kholid at the PKS DPP Office, South Jakarta, Saturday (10/8).
Kholid explained that his group would not offer Anies to KIM because the recommendation for the former Jakarta governor had expired since August 4, 2024. The offer of PKS cadres was prioritized because establishing communication with other parties was the second option. “Of course this second option is different from the first option,” said Kholid.
Although willing to communicate with KIM, Kholid emphasized that his party has not yet given support to Ridwan Kamil in the Jakarta gubernatorial election. PKS wants to open a discussion first before determining the current figure.
“We continue to study the dynamics, yes, we cannot say it is certain, it is certain and so on. This is certainly our process in communicating sitting together to find the best scheme for Jakarta residents,” said Kholid. (J-2)
